Aurora TX 1897 and Roswell NM 1947
As I began to read and reread old UFO reports, I was struck by the language of Hayden's article in 1897 and some of the Roswell mystery. Hayden, who likely wrote a tall tale typical of the era, says in paragraph 5 that the ship had "hieroglyphics", and in paragraph 6 the ship was made of "...a mixture of aluminum and silver .. it must have weighed several tons...".
